Paul Corupe
A graduate of the University of Toronto's English program, I first began writing and publishing in Toronto's small press scene in the early 1990s. Now working as a writer/editor, I produce technical publications on tax law and medicine and also find time to contribute to a variety of print publications. My writing covers such diverse topics as vintage tiki barware, monster magazines, and, most notably, Canadian cult films. In 1999, I created the Canuxploitation website to share my research in this area, and have since written 12 hour-long documentaries for Bravo! Canada spotlighting Canadian film milestones.
My self-published work has been featured in The Globe and Mail, This Magazine,
The Ryerson Review of Journalism and CBC Radio Two's Brave New Waves. I have
also been featured on the CBC Radio One programs Go and Definitely Not the
Opera, and can be seen in the made-for-television documentary Nightmare in Canada: Canadian Horror
on Film.
